About Memory Match

Memory Match is the classic card-flipping concentration game. All cards start face down; flip two at a time and try to find every matching pair in as few moves as possible.

There are three sizes: Easy with 6 pairs, Medium with 8 pairs and Hard with 10 pairs. The game tracks your moves, time and accuracy so you can see yourself improve.

How to Play Memory Match

  1. Choose Easy (6 pairs), Medium (8 pairs) or Hard (10 pairs) and press Start Game.
  2. Click a card to flip it, then click a second card.
  3. If the two cards match they stay face up. If not, they flip back over.
  4. Remember where each picture was and keep going until every pair is found.
  5. Try to finish with fewer moves and a faster time than last game.

Memory Match Tips & Strategy

  • Flip cards in order (row by row) at the start. A systematic sweep is easier to remember than random clicks.
  • When the first card of a turn is new, use the second flip on another unknown card. You learn more that way.
  • Say what you see in your head, for example "star, top left". Naming items helps you remember them.
  • Focus on accuracy. Every wasted pair of flips counts as a move, so slow down when you are unsure.

Playing Memory Match with Your Team

Memory Match is a calm game for a short break. For a team challenge, everyone plays Hard mode and posts their move count. Lowest moves wins.

Memory Match FAQ

What counts as a move?

Each time you flip two cards counts as one move, whether or not they match. A perfect game uses exactly as many moves as there are pairs, which almost nobody manages.

How is accuracy calculated?

Accuracy compares the number of pairs to the number of moves you used. Fewer wasted flips means higher accuracy.

Is this game good for kids?

Yes. Memory Match has no reading or time pressure, so it suits all ages and is a good way to practise concentration.

Does it really improve memory?

Regular practice makes you better at this kind of short-term visual memory task, and many people find it a relaxing way to refocus between work tasks.
