Hi there!
Your Secret Santa match is ready. Make sure nobody is looking at your screenโฆ
You are Secret Santa for
Keep it secret! You can come back to this link at any time.
1. Who's taking part?
One pair per line, e.g. "Alice - Ben". Those two won't be drawn for each other (useful for couples or people who sit together).
2. The details
3. Send everyone their private link
Copy each person's link and send it to them by chat or email. Each link only shows who that person is buying for, so try not to open other people's links.
Links are created in your browser and are not saved anywhere, so download them before closing this page.
How the Secret Santa Generator Works
- Enter everyone's name, one per line. Add any pairs who shouldn't be matched.
- Add a budget, date and message if you like, then press Draw names.
- You get a private link for each person. Send each link to the right person.
- Each person opens their link and taps Reveal to see who they are buying for.
Nobody is ever matched with themselves, and every person both gives and receives exactly one gift.
Tips for a Great Office Secret Santa
- Set a clear budget. ยฃ5 to ยฃ15 is common at work and keeps things fair for everyone.
- Make it opt-in. Ask who wants to take part rather than assuming everyone does.
- Share a few likes. Invite people to post two or three things they enjoy (coffee, plants, puzzles) in a shared doc.
- Agree a date and place for the gift exchange, such as the team lunch or a video call.
- Remote team? Ask everyone for a delivery address the organiser can share privately, or agree on digital gifts and vouchers.
- Keep gifts work-appropriate. Avoid anything that could embarrass the recipient.
Secret Santa Generator FAQ
Is the Secret Santa generator free?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up. You can use it for any size of group.
Do you store our names or send emails?
No. The draw happens in your browser and nothing is saved on our servers. Each private link carries its own match in a scrambled form, so it works without an account or database.
Can the organiser see who has who?
Only if they choose to. The list of links doesn't show the matches. There is a "Show all pairs" button for organisers who need to know (for example to post gifts for a remote team), but you can simply not press it.
What if someone loses their link?
Download the links file after the draw and keep it safe; you can then resend the link. If the links are lost, simply run a new draw and send new links to everyone.
How do exclusions work?
Write two names on a line, like "Alice - Ben". Alice won't be drawn for Ben and Ben won't be drawn for Alice. If there are too many exclusions to make a valid draw, the generator will tell you.
